Possible smoking gun for election tampering in GA
Fri Jul 18, 2008 at 08:42:33 PM PDT
http://rawstory.com//news/2008/Cyber...
According to Rawstory an advisor to the McCain campaign has come forward with evidence that indicates the high probability of election fraud in the '02 election in Georgia. A whistle blower has apparently given him a copy of the source code for a patch that was applied in only two counties in Georgia by the President of Diebold personally...
It was supposed to fix the clock issue on the machines, but didn't. The source shows two programs but noone has any idea what they do; but they definitely did not fix the clock problem.
Wherein my home is hit by a "tormato"
Sun Jun 29, 2008 at 07:47:17 PM PDT
I would have blogged this live as it happened as I did the last big storm that hit Omaha... but heres the thing: You can't live blog without power or internet.
I would have diaried it yesterday but was way to tired after digging out, so here we are today with a diary long on links, but short on prose about the third major storm to hit the city of Omaha in just over a month. One that was not a tornado, but rather as my son called it a Tormato... it was actually 80-100 mph straight line winds along a rather large front with hail the size of golf balls.
See you below the fold for the links.
UPDATE 1: Included the video we shot.. duh, forgot it the first time.
And Update2: Like I said we are all fine, the house is a bit screwbar but we are fine.
Omaha being hit by Tornado right now
Wed Jun 11, 2008 at 06:03:43 PM PDT
This is going to be quick because I may need to run to the basement anytime and I am not sure how the net connection is going to be.
Omaha has at least two tornadoes on the ground and a massive storm lingering over the city.
UPDATE: If you are in the area and are trained for first aid etc. The camp in Little Sioux got hit HARD and they are calling for volunteers to help clear the entrances and exits as they are having trouble getting emergency vehicles in.
At least four dead at the scout camp and over 40 injured are known and they REALLY need help in rescue as the camp covers over 1800 acres.
Moorehead IA also has been hit, both Little Sioux and Moorehead are tiny towns that FEMA should by rights be helping..
The local NBC affiliate had a storm chaser out in this and their car got hit directly live on air.
UPDATE: Looks like there is a tornado on the ground near Offutt AFB moving NE at 40MPH
Going to call the Ex and make damn sure that she is in a bunker with the baby....
Great, just fucking god damn great, her apartment does NOT have a bunker.
Breaking!!! Obama Omaha rally Nelson endorses!
Thu Feb 07, 2008 at 05:13:30 PM PDT
This is just going to be a quick hit and run... I just got back from the Omaha Obama event.
It was standing room only, which was nice to see in this town.
Ben Nelson endorsed Obama which does not bode well for Clinton and the rest of the mainstream machine.
below the fold for the big news...

To Edward' supporters jumping ship....
Wed Jan 30, 2008 at 03:19:05 AM PDT
Hi! I am not currently supporting ANY of the candidates, and am loathe to post what is properly something in the "candidate diary" class but I feel I must considering the numbers of people jumping ship for Obama.
Like I said I am NOT endorsing ANY candidate as I will cast my ballot gleefully for any single one of them in the general in an attempt to prevent a further four years of GOP rule from the throne.

What is right with Populism
Sat Nov 24, 2007 at 12:20:04 PM PDT
There is a diary on what is wrong with it, so there may as well be one on what is right with it for balance at the very least.
The points made in that diary are fair ones from a certain perspective but they are deeply flawed from a point of political striking power. And this is what I mean by it: Although the persons that implemented the populists platform planks were NOT populists it was the populists that made it possible for those positions to brought into reality.
Because populists VOTE, they show up, they fight and they are committed to a set of positions not a party.
And that is as much a weakness as it is a strength.
Lets look at this a bit more below the fold, though not to much as I am running low on battery power on the laptop...
I just watched the Republic die
Tue Nov 06, 2007 at 02:17:27 PM PDT
Mark this day and mark it well; the Republic of the United States died today. It was murdered in it' sleep by those tasked with protecting it. Yes our beloved Republic was murdered by her caretakers.
The vote to impeach Cheney has failed, and it has failed on the heels of the revelations of the findings of Daniel Levin regarding torture. We are now ruled by collaborationists and torturers.
Let us look below the fold for what is going to be the rest of a rather short diary
The sadness and joy of being home again
Tue Sep 18, 2007 at 01:54:03 PM PDT
Having been dropped off VERY early Tuesday by the Road2DC crew, I am once more home in Omaha.
And as nice as it is to sleep in my own bed and being able to spark up a cigarette along with my Exxon Valdez sized mug of strong coffee and sit back and enjoy a reliable cup of bandwidth and scratch the dog behind his ears; I feel somehow smaller and discontented.
With the drone of EWTN on my Grandmother' television in the background and my dog licking my ankles I sit here and try and put my experiences and thoughts in order on what by rights should be a large event in a persons life. I apologize ahead of time if this meanders or bounces between the overly intimate and the coldly analytical; but the only way that I know how to do this at present is to just crack open the door and let my consciousness stream out.
Join me after the jump if you will and I think I will cross post this docudharma, and on Road2DC to help flesh out our little travelogue.
Mind the furniture as we take a walk around the inside of my mind.
With all due respect Senator Feingold: BULL!
Mon Jul 16, 2007 at 12:06:31 PM PDT
This started as a response to Senator Feingold' diary... and it just grew into something that I think he and others really needs to read.

The Death of Fear, a leap of faith. My last full measure of Fidelity

In response to Agnostics fine diary here. I stand ready to do possibly the single most insane thing that a person can do on a blog:
Affix my real name to a virtual document. And I ask others to do the same if they too are unwilling to be afraid any longer of this Presidents version of our government!
I ask you to join me in a small, peaceful and revolutionary act fraught with potential perils in part to show our elected members of congress how exactly it is done.
EDIT: With Agnostic' permission I have amended the diary to include the body of his original.
Actually? Sometimes you have to destroy yourself

Or a response to Cindy Sheehan' diary that was so long that it may as well be a diary unto itself.....
In response to "Why I am against impeaching Bush"
Wed Apr 11, 2007 at 12:27:26 AM PDT
I am posting this in response to this diary: here. Please catch me after the flip. And I do apologize before hand as my style of writing tends to get a bit old fashioned in spots.
I am in a lot of ways a man a century out of time.
Wherein I put my foot in it...Again. Or
Sat Jan 13, 2007 at 04:54:49 PM PDT
How I just can't sit back and let somethings pass like a nice boy.
I have been trying to put together a diary for the last couple of weeks, but have had no luck getting it to come together in my head. And that is one of my greatest problems: I am better in somethings reactively rather then proactively. Whatever "muse" that some may think that I have is definitely one that is a "don't call me, I'll call you" sort.
And so it was that I was reading OPOL diary here, when the phone rang.
I will include the unattributed post that elicited the call to start this off. I do this for a couple of reasons: 1. So that my diary makes sense. And 2. So as not to be accused of "calling" someone out, since I am most definitely NOT doing that and am only using the argument made by them as a general "laundry list" to reply to.
The action after the jump
says you. get a grip the diary edition
Tue Dec 19, 2006 at 08:39:38 AM PDT
This started out as a reply to Elise in the Lewis Lapham on Impeachment diary after it had started spinning out of control.
The diary can be found here: http://www.dailykos.com/... don't mind the carnage just chalk it up to people keeping their skills sharp and twitchy reflexes on their flame guns. I know that is what I do. But there are some very deep feeling on this matter that perhaps would be best served by approaching it anew and just a bit more openly on both sides. I have omitted Elise's initial post since I did not ask her permission to use it, which was kind of stupid on my part so there is some context missing...and I have done a little editing to cull the most glaring of spelling and grammar errors and neatened up a thought or three.
The stuff people actually like is closer to the end BTW.
Catch you after the flip.
An open letter to Nancy Pelosi regarding the need for impeachment
Sat Nov 11, 2006 at 04:40:21 AM PDT
This is my first diary, and I will apologize up front because I am probably going to be a bit sloppy on the grammar and spelling seeing as it is 6 am my time and I have about 3 hours sleep; I do beg your indulgence.
What compelled me to finally take the leap into diary-dom was this diary detailing the impending investigation and likely trial of Rumsfield in of all places Germany http://www.dailykos.com/...
Dear Congresswoman Pelosi....
