I am not surprised that this story has not hit the Main Stream Media yet...
since they are all still chattering about the latest McCain ad using
Paris Hilton and Britney Spears to go after Obama.
But here’s a McCain story that deserves a whole lot MORE attention
and actually has some serious substance to it.
John McCains son Andrew McCain resigned as a member of the Board of directors of Silver State Bancorp on July 26th.
Voter Suppression in Nebraska (Updated II)

The DOUGLAS COUNTY Democratic PARTY has decided to release it's county Caucus results
at 3 PM today.... well BEFORE many other counties will even have STARTED the Caucus process,
and especially before the western counties will Caucus.
THIS IS SHOWBOATING and disrespectfull of ALL other Nebraska Democrats...
Update...
As far as I can determine, Omaha (Douglas County) will break for Obama
as which will Lancaster County, so announcing early would only have the effect of strengthening the expected vote of the second largest county
in Nebraska, as it was expected to break anyway.
HOWEVER, Hillary has some serious support in western counties including
Hall County (large Hispanic population) where announcing early returns from Douglas county could affect the Caucuses there..
I guess you (All) are right, while this is not voter suppression, it is grandstanding for no other purpose than for Douglas county to give the NE state leadership the middle finger, and unfortunealy all the other counties the same as well.
I don't care who you support, The one biggest county in Nebraska is
pulling out the stops to make themselves look good at everyone else's expense. Bad form all around.

January 2009 Checklist.

Pretty much right now I would foresee either Obama or Hillary being sworn in as the President of the United States in January 2009.
And since either of them will have a very large mess to clean up,
left over from the decider.
I thought perhaps I would help by starting a list of things that can be easily and quickly fixed by a President that actually cares about those trivial little things like the Rule of law, and the Constitution.
Anyway here we go... feel free to add your own ideas.

A long time ago, a friend of mine told me that he couldn't go to church anymore with his wife and children. The local preacher was becoming more and more activist and right wing, and his sermons were becoming a rant against gays, and liberals, and how they would all ruin this country.
So he decided to stay home each sunday, crack open a Busch Light (Locally called a Blue Yummy) and savor his own freedom from Fundie Dogma in his own way. At his own, non-denominational, non-affiliated and non-judgemental "Church of the Blue Yummy".
